We’d love to hear your stories

This foundation begins with Jelani and our family’s experience, but its purpose is to nurture children and families who are still in the struggle. We want to hear about your family, what has helped you, and where you have needed more support. Your stories and experiences can inform and improve the work we are doing.

We can offer advocacy to families facing pediatric cancer, another serious childhood illness, or the loss of a child. We are working toward providing financial assistance as we build the foundation.

We are just launching and have a lot to learn and do. Thank you for your patience, your generosity, and your willingness to help us grow into the kind of support families need.

Common Questions

Can I help from home?

Yes, some writing, research, planning, and communications projects may be suited to remote volunteers. Let us know your preference.

Can students, families, or groups participate?

We welcome inquiries from students, families, and groups. Include the group size and students’ ages so we can discuss a suitable project and any supervision needed. We have not established a general youth volunteer program yet.

Can I deliver plants or supplies to a hospital?

Please contact us before purchasing or delivering anything. We need to coordinate with the receiving organization about what is suitable, when it is needed, and how it can be delivered.

You have choices when you give online

We use Givebutter to process online donations. The platform supports major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App Pay, and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Bank transfers (ACH) and donor-advised fund gifts may also be available.
